McCann's Steel Cut Irish Oatmeal is delicious. But when it arrived the product packaging was so worn/crushed and labeling taped over, that they would not even stand up individually on the shelf. Since it was ordered through Amazon, the disppointment in the condition of the packaging was a surprise. But the good quality of the product was exactly what you expect through Amazon.

I like this oatmeal. It isn't mushy, it has a nice crunch. It's good for you and many stars eat this, as in Rachel Ray's back pages of what is in stars refrigerators.

My family loves this oatmeal. It is easier to make than you think, and it is so yummy, especially with some brown sugar sprinkled on. mmm! Sometimes, my 14 yr old will make a bowl of it for a snack and as soon as my 21 month old sees what he has, he'll go climbing into his lap begging for some from him. It is that good!

I use my electric rice cooker to make the McCann's steel cut oats. I just add raisins or currents set it and go out for a walk or jog. Its done in about 50 minutes. You can make it as wet or dry as you wish by regulating water or milk. By using electric cooker you don't have to watch it on stove which takes about 35 minutes from the boil.

This oatmeal is the best money can buy. Take a while to cook, but well worth it. Nutty taste and crunchy to the pallet. Highly recommended.
